Approach to Phonics
In Key Stage 1 we teach letters and sounds using the Phonics Bug phonics scheme.
There are a number of resources online which parents can use to understand and help their children develop their understanding and language formation. This YouTube video clip has clear guidance to the synthetic phonics sounds used in our lessons.
The school receives pupil premium funding from the government for a small group of identified children. We have to report publicly the way in which this funding is spent. You can read our report here.
