Home School Association
The Greystones Home School Association is the link between home and school. It includes everybody. We want to help the school to give our children the best possible start in life. We do this by organising community events that are fun for the children, staff, parents and carers. Events range from cake stalls to fun runs, movie nights, discos to fairs, not forgetting quiz and race nights for the adults! The money we raise buys vital equipment and resources for the children of GPS.
Our fundraising has dramatically enhanced provisions in school. We have purchased audio and visual equipment, playground equipment, phonics books, musical instruments, iPads and the Outdoor Classroom. Last year our fundraising was focused on raising money for a new IT Suite for our children and we raised an amazing
£20,000! This is going to be a fantastic add on to teaching and our children’s learning experience will benefit greatly.

Corporate Match Funding
Does your employer run a corporate matching gift programme?
If so, this may be an easy way to increase the funding which the HSA is able to raise.
Matching gift programmes are offered by both large multi-national companies as well as smaller regional players in the UK. In general, companies with match programmes give £1 for every £1 that an employee gives to a variety of nonprofits. Annual limits as well as employee eligibility (full time vs. part time) vary based on each company’s individual guidelines.

If your employer is not listed, please contact your Human Resources department to find out if they operate a matching gift scheme. In most cases, the company will match your donation pound for pound up to a specific level; a handful of organisations even double-match.
