Pay Grade:
Grade 5 (Spinal Column Points 15 to 20) £27,803 to £30,296 pro rata
Salary / Actual Part Time Salary:
Depending on length of service, experience, hours and contract type below, the successful candidate's actual salary will be in the range of £21,005 to £23,405
Hours Per Week:
Monday to Friday 08:30 to 15:30 daily - 32.5 hours per week
Contract Type:
Term time only - 39 weeks plus holiday allowance remuneration

Details:
Greystones Primary School is looking to appoint an exceptional person to be a Learning Mentor to start in September 2024. The successful candidate will lead our new KS2 SEND provision, supported by our SENCo and the wider inclusion team.
The role involves working closely with small groups of children, providing a bespoke approach to their learning alongside their mainstream class experience. We are looking for a practitioner who loves working with children in need of extra support to flourish in school. The successful candidate will have experience supporting children with social and communication needs within a specialist or mainstream class setting.
You will be joining a passionate and professional team dedicated to ensuring that children receive excellent learning opportunities and the best possible care in an inclusive and purposeful environment, shaped to their needs.

Main purpose

To provide a complementary learning provision for small groups of children that enhances their ongoing classroom experience in order to support progress in learning, participation and encourage social inclusion

To develop and maintain effective and supportive mentoring relationships with children, young people and those engaged with them

Work within an extended range of networks and partnerships to broker well-being support and learning opportunities and improve the quality of services to children and young people
