Domestic Assistant and Lunchtime Supervisor Team Leader

Pay Grade: 
Grade 2
(Spinal Column Points 3 to 4) 

Monday to Friday 10:30am to 2:00pm daily
 - 17.5 hours per week (though slight flexibility could be accommodated)

Contract Type:
Term time only - 40 weeks plus holiday allowance remuneration

Actual Part Time Salary:

£8,634 per annum based on a new staff member starting on Grade 2 at SCP 3

Required as soon as possible after interview, subject to the necessary clearance checks and recruitment processes, the school leadership and its governing body are looking to recruit an all round resourceful and self-motivated person to this important key role in the daily life of the school. 

Working within a small degree of time flexibility, the appointed candidate will maintain overall coordination of the school’s lunchtime processes and supervision of children, which includes leading a diverse team of supervisory assistants across four different staggered lunch hours within this large and very well respected suburban primary school.

Either side of these daily lunchtime processes, the post holder will also carry out domestic responsibilities for checking on staff and children’s welfare facilities, cleaning, restocking and tidying where necessary and reporting back to the school caretaking team on any issues arising.

The extended scope of this combined role (developed partly from the legacies of Covid times) has become a very important integral part of overall school strategy to improve the lunchtime experience for children and help them prepare for their learning in the afternoon; and to ensure cleanliness levels in the school environment are maintained.
