Details:

Required as soon as possible, subject to safeguarding and recruitment checks, we are seeking to appoint lunchtime supervisors to join our enthusiastic and innovative team in our lovely school.

The work will involve helping children in the dining hall and playground areas, and supervision of children during the lunchtime period.  You will be part of an enthusiastic team caring for children and leading structured play.  Ability to play games, organise activities and assist children in accessing a range of recreational activities would be an advantage.  We are looking for applicants who are reliable and who like working with children and adults.

Specific working times: currently 11:45am to 1:15pm each week day term-time only (38 weeks) plus an extra 15 hours (2 weeks equivalent) to be used as training and team meeting time throughout the school year.  The working times are set due to the nature of the lunch time structure but these times may be subject to review depending on any changes to the school’s requirement for staggered lunchtimes to cope with the numbers of pupils.

The successful candidates will get the opportunity to work in a vibrant, successful and well-respected school that is at the heart of its community and be part of a highly supportive, expert and dedicated staff team.  This particular role is very suited to persons with no daytime term time commitments such those looking to return to work following a career break.  A number of our previous lunchtime supervisory staff have successfully further developed their career into roles within the primary education sector such as Play Workers, Teaching Assistants and Admin Staff.
